Level I Trauma Center
Open: 24 hours/7 days a week and holidays

The Sparrow ER is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the mid-Michigan area, and one of only seven in the state. Staffed by specially trained nurses, emergency department technicians and board certified emergency physicians who treat over 75,000 patients annually.

The Emergency Department at the Sparrow campus also provides exams for victims of sexual assault. A sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) provides these exams.
